Fault F55

Fault F55 is shown on the tumble dryer display. The laundry is still not dry after the maximum drying time of 180 minutes. Only with residual moisture drying programme.

The drum is too full.

Do not exceed the maximum load size for the drying programme selected. Information on the load size can be found in the operating instructions.

The laundry is too damp.

Spin in the washing machine at a higher speed.

The fluff filters are soiled.

Environmental impact due to fluff which has been disposed of incorrectly.

To prevent microplastics from spreading into the waste water system, fluff must not be drained away with the water.

Dispose of the fluff collected by the fluff filters with your household waste.

Tip: You can also use a vacuum cleaner so that you can remove the fluff without touching it.

Clean the fluff filters as follows:

  • Open the door.

  • Pulling the fluff filter out to the front | Cleaning and care | Miele tumble dryer
  • Pull the upper fluff filter forwards to remove it.

  • Removing fluff from the fluff filter | Cleaning and care | Miele tumble dryer
  • Remove the fluff (see arrows).

  • Removing fluff from the filter surfaces in the tumble dryer | Cleaning and care | Miele tumble dryer
  • Remove the fluff (see arrows) from the surface of all the fluff filters and the perforated laundry deflector.

  • Turning the yellow rotary control on the lower fluff filter | Cleaning and care | Miele tumble dryer
  • Turn the yellow rotary control on the lower fluff filter in the direction of the arrow (until you hear it click).

  • Pulling the lower fluff filter out to the front | Cleaning and care | Miele tumble dryer
  • Hold the rotary control and pull the fluff filter forwards to remove it.

  • Vacuuming the air flow openings | Cleaning and care | Miele tumble dryer
  • Use a vacuum cleaner with a long crevice nozzle attached to remove any visible fluff from the upper air flow openings.

Clean all fluff filters with water:

  • Wipe the smooth plastic surfaces of the fluff filters with a damp cloth to clean them.

  • Rinse the filter surfaces through under warm running water.

  • Shake the fluff filters thoroughly and then dry them carefully.

  • Wet fluff filters could cause operational faults while drying.

  • Push the lower fluff filter in completely and lock it with the yellow rotary control.

  • Push the upper fluff filter all the way in.

  • Close the door.

The laundry has not been spun sufficiently and is still too damp.

Spin the laundry in the washing machine at the highest possible speed.
