The heating-up time is unusually long.
The base of the cookware or the ceramic surface is dirty.
Remove any soiling.
You added water, oil or food during the heating-up time.
Do not add anything during the heating-up time.
Hobs with rotary control:
Between 12 and 0, the hob operates with reduced power.
Check whether the marking on the rotary control has been turned past power level 12.
